1. What Type of Materials can be Pelletized by Pellet Making Press?


To begin with, you should know that pellets can be divided into biomass pellets, animal feed pellets and fertilizer pellets.
Biomass pellets are mainly made from wood materials and crops wastes for burning purpose.
Animal feed pellets are manufactured from fodder feedstock such as grain and meal.
Fertilizer pellets are mainly produced from poultry manure or cattle litter (chicken, horse, cow, sheep, etc).

2. Why need to choose the right materials to use in pellet production line?

Different material has different characteristic, surely their pellet features will be different. Before you establish you pellet plant, you shall make it clear that the heat valve, ash and nitrogen content etc of your pellets suit your target market.

 3. What’s the general process of making pellets?

 Well, to start, you need to pulverize the raw materials into small particles and make sure they are dry enough (usually 10-15% moisture content). Then, these powders are pressed into pellets in the pellet mill. The finished pellets need to be cooled before they are collected for the package. 

 4. Can I use the pellet mill to make animal feed pellets?

 Yes you can! As the raw materials of feed pellets are softer than that of wood pellets, there is no big abrasion of the die and rollers. The process is the same, and just the raw material is different. Farm owners use Pellet Mills and grinders known as Hammer Mills to produce their own feed pellets for their animals and you can too: Fish pellets, Rabbit pellets, Goat pellets, Cow pellets, whatever!
